When looking for a space for their new headquarters, Samsara prioritized buildings that were aligned with their company values: sustainability, safety and efficiency. Samsara elected to lease the first mass timber building in San Francisco using cross laminated timber (CLT), and the first multi-story CLT building of its type in California. Canopy oversaw the design and construction of the interiors which included multiple lab spaces, two cutting edge AV walls, and a large high-end servery and all hands space that hosts daily meals.
Samsara’s headquarters consist of four full floors, a mezzanine, and a large roof top with integrated landscaping and breathtaking views of downtown San Francisco and Twin Peaks. Despite a pause during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, the project was still delivered under budget and for occupancy in August 2022.
